A civil society group, Justice and Equality For All Movement, staged a protest at the Federal High Court, Abuja, demanding the release of a long-awaited investigative report into the 2010 death of Mrs. Shitua Aso, a pregnant woman.
Led by Barrister Moses Aham Akano, the protesters called on Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to make the report public, insisting the case remains a criminal matter beyond statutes of limitations.
The group also filed a motion urging the court to compel the police to release the 2011 investigative report, stressing that justice for Aso’s family is long overdue.
The Global Integrity Crusade Network (GICN) backed the demand, warning of legal action if the report remains suppressed.
