The National Assembly has adjusted the 2025 budget, reducing capital expenditure by over ₦500 billion while increasing recurrent spending by the same amount.
Despite the revisions, the total budget remains ₦54.99 trillion, with statutory transfers at ₦3.64 trillion and debt servicing at ₦14.32 trillion unchanged.
The corrections, affecting various ministries and agencies, were made to fix errors in the earlier approved figures. Lawmakers assured that the overall budget size remains intact.
