A commercial motorcyclist, Mubarak Abdullahi, 23, was fatally attacked and his bike stolen in the Zuba area of the FCT early this morning.
According to reports, hoodlums struck Abdullahi on the head with a hammer around 5 a.m.
A neighbor discovered the injured victim on the Nitel-Pole road, and his younger brother, Bello Abdullahi, rushed him to a clinic in Madalla, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Residents have described the Nitel road connecting Zuba and Madalla as a dangerous area known for criminal activity, particularly targeting motorcyclists and pedestrians between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Local police in Zuba noted that the incident had not been reported to them.
