A 23-year-old man named Kwali has been arrested by vigilantes in Ketti, Kabusa district, Abuja Municipal Area Council, for the alleged rape of a 10-year-old girl.
According to reports, the suspect lured the victim to a secluded location where he assaulted her.
The incident came to light following a complaint from the girl’s elder sister, prompting the vigilantes to intervene.
The victim was subsequently taken to a hospital, where medical staff confirmed she had been defiled and is now receiving treatment.
The vigilante commander, John Samuel, stated that the suspect has been handed over to the police for further investigation.
