Residents of Saburi in Abuja’s Dei-Dei area are living in fear following a wave of violent gang robberies.
Armed groups have raided homes multiple times since January, leaving victims injured and property destroyed.
Community leader Markus Okechukwu revealed that some attacks involved over 40 armed men, with victims shot and brutalized.
Despite repeated distress calls, police response has been slow, leaving residents vulnerable.
Okechukwu and other residents are now urging FCT Minister Nyesom Wike to intervene by restoring security and allowing the installation of gates at key entry points to curb the attacks.
