The Ogun State government has commenced practical training for selected youths on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicle conversion, focusing on the CNG-3 calibration system to enable automatic switching between petrol and CNG.
Assistant Manager of Nigerian Gas and Transport Solutions Limited, Prem Roka, highlighted the hands-on training, emphasizing the seamless fuel transition feature that ensures uninterrupted driving.
Trainees are also learning manual switching for enhanced flexibility.
Representing the Commissioner for Transportation, Olugboyega Ademehin, Director of Vehicle Inspection Services (VIS), noted that certified trainees will assist in CNG installations, repairs, and maintenance across the state.
Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the free training, with commercial driver Adebayo Nojeem commending the government’s transparency and calling for more CNG refilling stations to boost adoption amid rising petrol costs.
