The woman who accused hip-hop moguls Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jay-Z of sexual assault has officially withdrawn her lawsuit, court documents confirmed on Friday.
The lawsuit, which alleged that both men assaulted her at a 2000 MTV Video Music Awards after-party when she was 13, was dismissed with prejudice, meaning it cannot be refiled.
Jay-Z welcomed the dismissal, calling the claims “frivolous, fictitious, and appalling.”
He expressed relief for himself and his family, denouncing the allegations as baseless.
Meanwhile, Diddy still faces serious federal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, with prosecutors accusing him of orchestrating drug-fueled abuse. His trial is set for May 5.
