Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has assured residents that the ongoing road projects in the Apo and Idu areas will be completed by May.
During an inspection, Wike praised the contractors for their commitment, noting that initial delays were caused by compensation and resettlement issues.
He confirmed that with these challenges resolved, construction has accelerated.
“The CGC has mobilized fully, and they are on track to deliver by May,” Wike stated.
He also highlighted progress on the Idu project, explaining that Salini, the contractor, had faced delays due to approval processes but is now making significant headway.
“With the necessary approvals in place, I am confident they will complete the project on schedule,” he assured.
