The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), has launched the FCT Leadership Enhancement and Development Program (FCT LEAD-P) to equip mid-level civil servants with advanced leadership and governance skills.
Approved by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, the initiative targets officers on Grade Levels 10 to 14, aiming to enhance service delivery and succession planning.
At least 100 officers will be trained annually through a rigorous selection process, including computer-based tests and interviews.
FCTA Head of Civil Service, Grace Adayilo, described the program as a milestone in public service reform, aligning with the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP).
Permanent Secretary Babatunde Ajayi emphasized its role in fostering innovation and resilience, while Dr. Jumai Ahmadu, Acting Director of Reform Coordination, assured its long-term sustainability.
With over 975 applications received, the program will produce a new generation of forward-thinking civil servants, reinforcing the FCTA’s commitment to governance excellence.
