Lamido Criticizes NSA Ribadu Over Canada Visa Outburst
By Ifeoluwa Odunayo
Former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, has slammed National Security Adviser (NSA) , Nuhu Ribadu for his harsh remarks against Canada over the visa denial of Nigeria’s military chiefs.
Ribadu had publicly condemned Canada’s decision, saying the country “can go to hell,” a move Lamido described as a diplomatic blunder.
He argued that the issue should have been handled through proper diplomatic channels rather than public confrontation.
Lamido warned that Ribadu’s approach could further strain Nigeria’s international relations and urged the government to let the Foreign Affairs Ministry handle such matters professionally.
