The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has pledged stronger collaboration with the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS), to enhance crime prevention and improve Nigeria’s criminal justice system.
During a meeting at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, the Acting Comptroller-General of NCS, Sylvester Ndidi, outlined efforts to transform correctional facilities into rehabilitation centers and develop a comprehensive criminal database for efficient offender management.
The IGP assured full cooperation to achieve these goals.
In a separate engagement, the IGP welcomed senior officers of ASP Course 22/2005, marking their 20th anniversary in service, urging them to uphold integrity, accountability, and justice in policing.
The Nigeria Police Force reaffirmed its commitment to professionalism and inter-agency collaboration to drive meaningful reforms in the nation’s justice system.
