The Federal Government is set to launch a special security unit, Power Rangers, to safeguard power installations from vandalism.
Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, revealed the initiative on Friday, stating that officers from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), will be deployed nationwide to curb sabotage-related blackouts.
Modeled after the Mines Marshals introduced in 2024, the unit is currently screening officers based on expertise and physical capability.
