In a statement on Friday, Atiku praised the late Afenifere leader for his unwavering commitment to justice, equity, and good governance.
He highlighted Adebanjo’s crucial role in Nigeria’s transition to democracy, from resisting colonial rule to opposing military dictatorship.
Atiku lauded him as a mentor and bridge builder who fought for justice until his last days.
He extended condolences to Adebanjo’s family, Ogun State, and the nation, praying for his peaceful repose.
