The Governing Council Chairman of Akperan Orshi Polytechnic, Yandev, Chief Dr. Victoria Terkumbur Pillah, has welcomed the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) accreditation team to the institution, reaffirming its commitment to academic excellence.
Rector Dr. Simon Iorchor expressed gratitude for the visit, emphasizing its significance in strengthening the institution’s academic programs.
Traditional rulers, led by HRH Zaki Lawrence Iorhemen Zever, pledged their support for the process.
Dr. Pillah assured the team of full cooperation, highlighting the polytechnic’s historical role as an agricultural education hub.
She commended Governor Hyacinth Alia and Education Commissioner Rev. Frederick Ikyaan for their support.
The NBTE team leader praised Dr. Pillah’s leadership, ranking her among Nigeria’s top council chairpersons.
The visit concluded with a facility inspection to assess accreditation readiness.
