The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), has assured Abuja residents of ongoing efforts to restore power following the vandalism of a 132kV underground transmission line near Millennium Park.
In a statement on Tuesday, TCN’s General Manager of Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, confirmed that engineers and expert cable jointers are working tirelessly to replace the damaged cable and reconnect it to the transmission network.
“Our priority is to ensure the swift restoration of bulk power supply through the affected line. We recognize the critical importance of stable electricity, particularly in the Abuja metropolis,” Mbah stated.
She further emphasized TCN’s commitment to restoring normal power transmission, enabling the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), to distribute electricity to affected areas, including the Presidential Villa.
TCN urged the public to remain patient as efforts continue to complete the repairs and fully restore power supply.
