The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), has launched 10 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), buses in Lokoja, Kogi State, as part of a federal initiative to ease transportation for workers in the North-Central region.
NLC President Joe Ajaero called on the Kogi State Government to support the project by establishing CNG refilling stations.
He also commended the government for maintaining industrial harmony, implementing the new minimum wage, and ensuring regular salary payments.
Governor Ahmed Ododo, represented by Deputy Governor Joel Salifu, praised the initiative, pledging his administration’s commitment to workers’ welfare and improved mobility.
