INTERPOL has announced the arrest of 36 individuals involved in various crimes, including fraud and human trafficking, in a coordinated operation with Nigerian security agencies.
The operation also led to the recovery of $3 million and other key exhibits.
The crackdown, involving 12 law enforcement agencies, targeted criminal operations across the country, with three arrests linked to sextortion and many others to cyber fraud.
Additionally, four suspects, including Olarenwaju Abdulai and Oluwafemi Abidoye, have been declared wanted.
Authorities are calling on the public to assist in locating them.
This operation underscores the growing collaboration between INTERPOL, AFRIPOL, and local Nigerian forces in the battle against organized crime.
