The Federal Government has launched weekly ministerial press briefings to enhance transparency and accountability.

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, announced the initiative during a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday.

Idris stated that President Bola Tinubu directed all ministers to engage with the media periodically, providing updates on their activities and policies.

He emphasized that the briefings would offer a direct platform for ministers to communicate with Nigerians, share developments, and address public concerns.

The briefings will feature different ministers each week and come as Tinubu’s administration nears its second anniversary, reinforcing its commitment to keeping citizens informed.
