The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has called on party stakeholders in Anambra to mobilize and unseat Governor Charles Soludo in the upcoming November 8, 2025, governorship election.
Speaking at the commissioning of the new APC State Secretariat in Awka, Ganduje emphasized the party’s commitment to securing victory through strategic political engagement and strong grassroots mobilization.
He urged party members to ensure Anambra aligns with the national political structure, criticizing what he termed the state’s “rural politics,” which he believes has hindered its development.
“Our party is united and politically solid. We must elevate Anambra to the national grid and integrate it into mainstream politics, just as past Igbo leaders like Nnamdi Azikiwe and Odumegwu Ojukwu once did,” Ganduje stated.
The event, facilitated by gubernatorial aspirant Sir Paul Chukwuma, attracted key APC figures, including state chairman Chief Basil Ejidike, Deputy Chairman Sir Ifeanyichukwu Osegbo, and several party aspirants.
They expressed confidence in APC’s ability to defeat the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and position Anambra for greater political and economic progress.
