Former NNPP presidential candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has described Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago as a shining example of effective leadership, calling on other governors to adopt his approach to governance.

Speaking at the 60th birthday celebration of Bishop Idahosa Isaac Odiri in Lagos, Kwankwaso commended Bago’s achievements in agriculture, youth empowerment, and education, particularly his initiative to sponsor young Nigerians abroad for science-related courses.

“Governor Bago has set a remarkable standard in just two years.

“I urge other governors to follow his lead in prioritizing development and the welfare of their people,” Kwankwaso said.

He emphasized that leadership is about impact, not wealth accumulation, and praised Bago’s efforts to invest in young people, describing them as the “real investment” for the nation’s future.

Bago, in his remarks, called for religious tolerance, stressing that division based on faith weakens national unity.

The event’s celebrant, Archbishop Designate Isaac Idahosa, urged Nigerians to remain patient and hopeful, affirming that meaningful progress takes time.
