Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara has assured the World Bank of significant security improvements in the state, paving the way for enhanced development projects.
Speaking at the bank’s office in Abuja, Lawal highlighted his administration’s proactive security measures, which have curbed banditry and restored stability to communities.
He reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding development partners, ensuring secure project implementation in education, health, climate resilience, and agriculture.
World Bank officials, including Country Director Dr. Ndiamé Diop, commended Lawal’s efforts, with NG-CARES Task Team Leader Dr. Lire Ersado praising Zamfara’s development model for its success and replication in other states and countries.
Lawal invited the World Bank to visit Zamfara to witness firsthand the state’s transformation, emphasizing his administration’s dedication to lasting security and sustainable growth.
