Dr. AbdulKadir Al-Salman Sholagberu, an Imam at the National Mosque, Abuja, has emphasized that national development is only achievable through unity and peaceful coexistence among religious groups and scholars.

Speaking during his inaugural Jumat sermon at the National Mosque, Abuja, Sholagberu stressed that righteous scholars play a crucial role in fostering harmony and progress.

Quoting the Holy Quran, he underscored the importance of divine guidance in uniting people despite their differences.

He urged religious leaders to work together, learn from one another, and embrace forgiveness, noting that societal advancement begins with individual enlightenment.

He also called on Muslims to shun hatred, hypocrisy, falsehood, and other vices while praying for a blessed Ramadan.

In his remarks, Retired Justice Salihu Mohammed, representing the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Ulama, affirmed Sholagberu’s capability and called for public support.

The sermon was attended by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, along with other prominent figures, politicians, and scholars.
