A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano, Alhaji Ilyasu Musa Kwankwaso, has called on the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and other key officials in President Bola Tinubu’s administration to ignore criticisms from opposition figures and remain focused on their duties.

Kwankwaso commended Ribadu’s leadership in counterterrorism efforts, highlighting significant security gains, including the reclaiming of previously unsafe areas and the neutralization of insurgents and bandits.

He alleged that some opposition members are unsettled by Ribadu’s achievements and are attempting to undermine his work.

However, he urged the NSA and other government officials to remain committed to national security and governance.

The APC stalwart also expressed confidence in the party’s growing influence in Kano, citing recent defections from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), and predicting that the APC would reclaim the state in the next election.
