The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has outlawed the activities of local council revenue collectors, commonly known as “AMAC Boys,” following widespread complaints of harassment against motorists across Abuja.

Speaking after the FCT Security Council meeting, FCT Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ending the menace.

He urged residents to report any incidents, assuring swift action against offenders.

The meeting, chaired by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, also reviewed ongoing security operations tackling vandalism, infrastructure theft, and banditry threats from neighboring states.

Disu noted that security agencies will intensify joint efforts to maintain peace and order across the territory.
