Tinubu Commiserates with Families of 17 Burnt Children in Zamfara

President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep condolences to the families of 17 children who lost their lives in a fire outbreak at an Islamic school in Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President mourned the tragic loss and wished the 15 injured victims a swift recovery.

He also extended sympathies to the Zamfara State Government and the school’s proprietors.

The fire, reportedly caused by burning corn stalks, broke out around 2:00 AM while the pupils were sleeping.

Despite rescue efforts, 17 Almajiri students perished, and several others sustained injuries.

President Tinubu emphasized the importance of safety measures in schools, urging educational authorities to enforce strict safety standards to prevent such tragedies in the future.
