The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Kaduna State University (KASU), branch, will commence an indefinite strike on February 11 over unresolved welfare issues.
Despite multiple engagements with Governor Uba Sani, including promises to address the non-payment of five months’ salaries (May–September 2022), withheld wages since 2017, and unpaid Earned Academic Allowances (2015–2020), no payments have been made. Other grievances include unpaid pensions (2009–2019), promotion arrears, and lack of Group Life Insurance for deceased staff.
With no response to their latest appeals, ASUU KASU has resolved to halt academic activities until their demands are met.
