Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika found the net for Club Brugge, but it wasn’t enough as they fell 3-1 to Manchester City on matchday 8 of the UEFA Champions League.

Onyedika opened the scoring in the 45th minute, but City responded with goals from Mateo Kovacic (53’), an own goal by Joel Ordonez (62’), and Savinho (77’), sealing their place in the play-offs.

Elsewhere, Nathan Tella scored in Bayer Leverkusen’s 2-0 win over Sparta Prague, while Atalanta held Barcelona to a 2-2 draw.

Eight teams, including Arsenal, Liverpool, and Barcelona, secured automatic last-16 spots.
