Lilian Ude was named Player of the Match after her all-round performance led Nigeria to a narrow six-run victory over Ireland in their second Super Six Group 2 game at the ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup in Malaysia.
Ude contributed 12 off 11 with the bat and claimed impressive bowling figures of 3/11.
Despite the win, Nigeria fell short of semi-final qualification, finishing third in the group.
Nigeria posted 94 runs, and though Ireland fought back with a late resistance, they were bowled out for 88, with Peace Usen and Anointed Akhigbe also picking up two wickets each.
