U.S. President Donald Trump has suspended a $50 million foreign aid program allegedly earmarked for condom distribution in Gaza, citing it as a waste of taxpayer money.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced the decision during her first press briefing, attributing the discovery to Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency.
However, no evidence was provided to support the claim. The move is part of a broader freeze on foreign aid, including a $37 million cut to the World Health Organization.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that most aid disbursements remain suspended, except for emergency food assistance and military support for Egypt and Israel.
