Pandemonium broke out at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday as thugs reportedly stormed a Board of Trustees (BoT), meeting, disrupting proceedings.

The meeting, chaired by Acting National Chairman Amb.

Umar Damagum, turned chaotic following a heated confrontation between National Secretary Senator Samuel Anyanwu and former Youth Leader Sunday Ude-Okoye, both vying for the PDP National Secretary position.

Ude-Okoye, whose 2023 nomination to replace Anyanwu has fueled internal tensions, was removed from the venue upon Anyanwu’s arrival.

The dispute follows conflicting court rulings on Anyanwu’s tenure, with an Enugu Appeal Court recognizing Ude-Okoye while an Abuja Appeal Court recently reinstated Anyanwu pending a Supreme Court decision.
