Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Osun State, has commended President Bola Tinubu for his administration’s strategic support to the military and efforts to cripple terrorism financing in Nigeria.
Speaking to journalists on Sunday in Osogbo, Oyintiloye, a former lawmaker, noted that the military’s recent successes against insurgents demonstrate a renewed commitment to tackling insecurity.
He praised the handling of notorious terrorist Bello Turji, describing it as proof of the military’s capacity to deal decisively with threats to national security.
Oyintiloye highlighted Tinubu’s bold steps to dismantle the financial networks sustaining terrorism, referencing the president’s speech at the 2025 National Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Summit in Abuja, where Tinubu disclosed the conviction of over 100 terrorist financiers in two years.
“The president’s efforts to minimize insecurity challenges have brought relative peace to many troubled areas.
“His strategy of crippling terrorist financiers is commendable and a significant step toward lasting security,” Oyintiloye said.
While appreciating the military, the National Security Adviser, and other security agencies for their bravery and improved security efforts, Oyintiloye urged them to intensify actions against criminal elements.
He called for preemptive measures to prevent terrorists from gaining undue power and inflicting hardship on Nigerians.
He also appealed to Nigerians to support the president and the military, expressing optimism that with unity, patriotism, and commitment, the country will overcome its challenges and achieve restoration.
