The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Adewale Adeniyi, has emphasized the need for stronger collaboration among security agencies to combat smuggling and its economic impact.
Speaking at a lecture for Course 33 participants at the National Defence College (NDC), Abuja, Adeniyi highlighted the complexities of smuggling and the necessity of inter-agency synergy to address the issue effectively.
“No single agency can tackle smuggling alone. Collaboration is essential to minimize illegal activities and foster economic growth,” Adeniyi stated in an NCS press release.
The event, attended by senior officers and participants from the armed forces, paramilitary, and civil service, provided a platform to discuss strategies for safeguarding Nigeria’s economic interests.
Adeniyi’s lecture underscored the importance of a united approach in addressing security challenges and advancing national development.
