The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), has raised concerns over a new sect, ACHAD Life Mission International, reportedly linked to human trafficking and child separation.
In a circular dated January 14, 2025, the NIS revealed that the sect has its headquarters in Kaduna State, with its leader, identified as Yokana, residing in Jos, Plateau State.
The sect is said to reject both Islam and Christianity, promoting African traditions and humanitarian support instead.
The circular, issued by the Principal Staff Officer to the Comptroller General, AA Aridegbe, warned state commands, directorates, and training institutions to remain vigilant, report any activities of the sect, and take necessary action, including arrests if possible.
The NIS stressed that the group is actively recruiting members within and outside Nigeria, posing a potential threat to national security.
Authorities have been urged to strictly monitor and comply with these directives.
