Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has imposed a 7pm to 7am curfew in Ilobu and Ifon following renewed clashes between the two communities.
The conflict erupted after both sides traded accusations of violent attacks, causing panic and displacement.
While Ifon residents claimed Ilobu gunmen attacked the Apiponroro area, Ilobu leaders insisted they were the victims of aggression.
In response, the state government deployed security forces to restore order.
Commissioner for Information, Kolapo Alimi, announced that the curfew would remain in effect until further notice, warning that anyone inciting violence would face prosecution.
A stakeholder committee, including community leaders and security officials, will be set up to address the crisis and seek a lasting resolution.
