Tensions flared at a World Press Conference in Lagos as Abosede Aloba, mother of the late singer Ilerioluwa “Mohbad” Aloba, and actor Yomi Fabiyi clashed over the circumstances surrounding the artist’s death.
Fabiyi claimed that Adura Aloba, Mohbad’s brother, had sent him a message on Instagram, allegedly revealing the true cause of the singer’s death.
A visibly distraught Mrs. Aloba fiercely refuted the claim, insisting Adura had no knowledge of what transpired.
“They killed Mohbad, and now you want me to lose his brother unjustly. He knows nothing about his brother’s death—don’t implicate my son!” she cried out, pointing at Fabiyi.
Overcome with emotion, she continued, “If Mohbad were alive, I wouldn’t be sitting here. They took my precious gift away, and I won’t let them take Adura too.”
Fabiyi, however, stood his ground, stating that he was more focused on the message’s content than its sender and reaffirmed his commitment to seeking justice for Mohbad.
