Flush Out Bandits from Oyo, Makinde Urges Military

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has directed the Nigerian military to flush out bandits reportedly taking refuge in parts of the state.
Makinde issued the charge on Friday at the Oja’ba Central Mosque during the Juma’at service commemorating the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.
Represented by his deputy, Barr. Adebayo Lawal, the governor reiterated concerns over intelligence reports indicating that bandits were hiding in villages near Fashola.
Describing the Armed Forces Remembrance Day as a solemn occasion in Nigeria’s military history, Makinde acknowledged the sacrifices of the nation’s troops in maintaining peace and security.
He emphasized that Oyo State remains committed to supporting the military’s efforts in safeguarding lives and fostering national stability.
The governor’s directive comes amid growing security concerns, underscoring the urgency for decisive action against criminal elements in the region.
