Tinubu departs for Abu Dhabi Sustainability Summit

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja on Saturday to attend the 2025 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), in the United Arab Emirates.

The summit, running from January 12 to 18, was initiated by UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to foster global discussions on sustainability.

According to a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s special adviser, the event will bring together world leaders, policymakers, and industry experts to accelerate sustainable development and economic transformation.

Tinubu is expected to highlight his administration’s reforms in energy sufficiency, transportation, public health, and economic growth.

He will also engage UAE leaders on bilateral relations and other key issues.

The president will be accompanied by Foreign Affairs Minister Yusuf Tuggar and other senior officials.

He is scheduled to return to Nigeria on January 16.
