West Ham United has named Graham Potter as their new head coach, signing him on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
The former Chelsea manager, 49, will take charge of his first game against Aston Villa in the FA Cup third round this Friday.
In an official statement, West Ham described Potter as a highly respected and sought-after coach, emphasizing his progressive coaching style and tactical adaptability.
The club’s board unanimously backed his appointment, seeing him as the ideal candidate to align with their long-term ambitions.
Potter, who previously managed Östersund, Swansea City, and Brighton and Hove Albion, has been out of management since leaving Chelsea in April 2023.
Eager to return to the Premier League, he expressed enthusiasm about working with West Ham’s talented squad as he embarks on this new challenge.
