FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has vowed to prosecute individuals arrested for vandalizing sewage manhole covers on Abuja highways.

The minister assured that the government will also apprehend and prosecute buyers and users of vandalized public infrastructures for economic sabotage and endangering lives.

Wike commended the security agencies for their prompt actions, describing their efforts as “fantastic” and a reassurance to FCT residents that their lives and properties are secured.

He also praised Nigerians for speaking out against vandalism, emphasizing that safeguarding public amenities is a collective responsibility.

The FCT Administration has arrested at least 50 suspects and recovered 25 vandalized manhole covers, demonstrating its zero-tolerance policy for vandalism.

Wike urged Nigerians to continue using social media positively to expose vandals and report incidents, promising prompt government action.
