The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), has extended the deadline for the renewal of 2025 practising licences to January 7, 2025, following disruptions caused by high traffic on its portal in late December.
The extension allows medical practitioners who missed the initial December 31, 2024, deadline to renew their licences without incurring late fees.
The MDCN urged all affected professionals to take advantage of this grace period to update their records and ensure their licences are duly registered in the Master Register.
However, payments made after January 8, 2025, will attract standard late renewal fees.
Practitioners are advised to act promptly to avoid additional charges.
