President Bola Tinubu arrived at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, at 1:22 p.m. on Friday for a one-day official visit.

He was received by key political figures, including Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, Abia State Governor Alex Otti, Anambra Deputy Governor, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu, former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim, Minister of Works Dave Umahi, and business magnate Arthur Eze.

During his visit, Tinubu will commission several landmark projects, including the Enugu International Conference Center, 30 newly built Smart Green Schools—part of a broader plan for 260 such schools—and 60 completed Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres out of the planned 260.

He will also inaugurate 90 urban roads in Enugu City, a state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre, and 150 AI-powered patrol vehicles.

Additionally, he will commission completed rural roads in different parts of the state.

The visit underscores the federal government’s commitment to supporting state-led infrastructure and technological initiatives to enhance development and improve residents’ living conditions.
