Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State has lauded the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND), for its significant contributions to the development of Nigeria’s educational infrastructure.
Speaking at the 2024 TETFUND Management Retreat in Calabar, represented by Deputy Governor Peter Odey, Otu emphasized TETFUND’s transformative role in addressing challenges in higher education.
He urged the Fund to stay committed to enhancing teaching and learning environments, pledging the state government’s support for collaborative efforts to improve education in Cross River.
TETFUND Executive Secretary Sonny Echono highlighted the Fund’s progress in reforming and expanding its interventions, aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s vision for a more effective higher education system.
He credited partnerships with the TETFUND Board and the Minister of Education as vital to sustainable growth in the sector.
