Senator Orji Uzor-Kalu, former Governor of Abia State, has assured Nigerians that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is determined to address the nation’s hunger crisis through bold economic policies.

During a New Year visit to Ebonyi APC Chairman Stanley Okoro-Emegha, Kalu urged Nigerians to remain patient as Tinubu’s administration implements reforms aimed at fostering economic growth.

“The President is making courageous decisions to reset the economy. Personally, I might not have the bravery to take such steps,” Kalu said, acknowledging the current hardships while expressing optimism for a brighter future.

Referring to Okoro-Emegha as his “political son,” Kalu praised their long-standing relationship dating back to his tenure as Abia Governor (1999–2007). Okoro-Emegha expressed gratitude for the visit and reaffirmed their enduring bond.

Kalu’s comments come amid Tinubu’s ongoing economic reforms to address the challenges facing Nigeria, with a focus on alleviating hunger and fostering development.
