The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr. Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to people-centric policing as the nation welcomes 2025.
In a New Year message issued on January 1, the IGP praised Nigerians for their resilience amid past challenges and assured them of the Force’s dedication to enhancing public safety through collaboration and community-focused strategies.
Dr. Egbetokun encouraged citizens to remain vigilant, report suspicious activities, and maintain open communication with the Police, emphasizing that public partnership is vital for a safer and more peaceful nation.
“As we begin a new year, we must work together to protect lives, ensure public safety, and foster national growth,” he stated in a message conveyed by Force PRO, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
The IGP extended warm wishes for a prosperous and fulfilling 2025, promising to strengthen trust between law enforcement and communities across the country.
