The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has expressed satisfaction with the progress of construction at the Judges’ Quarters in Katampe District and other key infrastructure projects in Abuja.

During an inspection on Monday, Wike lauded the developments at the Judges’ Quarters and access roads, including the RR1 and Shehu Shagari Expressway interchange.

“The progress here is remarkable. The Judges’ Quarters and surrounding roads showcase impressive work.

“Since our last visit, the major culvert has been completed, and we are very pleased,” he said.

Wike emphasized that these projects align with the Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at improving the lives of FCT residents.

“This development restores hope for residents who never imagined such transformation,” he stated.

Addressing concerns about property removals for road expansion, the minister assured residents of fair treatment.

“Relocation and compensation will follow due process, ensuring fairness for all affected,” he said, urging community support for the projects.

Highlighting the benefits, Wike noted, “Once completed with streetlights and improved infrastructure, the projects will significantly enhance the area.”

On evaluating his performance as FCT Minister, Wike deferred to the presidential monitoring team, stating, “They will assess our achievements.”
