Bayelsa Women Affairs Commissioner Elizabeth Bidei Passes Away

The Bayelsa State Executive Council has announced the death of Elizabeth Bidei, the Commissioner for Women Affairs.

The news was shared on Tuesday by Ebiuwou Koku-Obiyai, the Commissioner for Information.

Koku-Obiyai expressed deep condolences to Bidei’s family, particularly her husband, Jackson Bidei, and their children.

While the cause and date of her death have not been disclosed, the statement conveyed the community’s profound sense of loss.

“We extend our heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and assure them of our prayers during this difficult time,” said Koku-Obiyai.

He also acknowledged Mrs. Bidei’s significant contributions to Bayelsa State, particularly her advocacy for women’s welfare and empowerment, noting that her absence will be deeply felt by all who worked with her.
