The Federal Housing Authority (FHA), has announced the schedule for opening bids for the Renewed Hope Housing Projects across 17 states.
Over 2,000 tenders were submitted for the initiative, prompting measures to prevent overcrowding and ensure safety during the process.
According to an FHA notice, bid openings will be conducted zone-by-zone starting December 30, 2024.
The South-South zone will open first on December 30, followed by the North-West on December 31, South-East on January 2, 2025, North-East on January 3, North-Central on January 6, and South-West on January 7, 2025.
Only Managing Directors of bidding companies or their representatives will be allowed entry, with mandatory clearance at the gate of the FHA headquarters.
“These arrangements aim to manage the large number of bids received and prevent crowd-related incidents,” the FHA stated, apologizing for any inconvenience caused.
The Renewed Hope Housing Projects seek to tackle Nigeria’s housing deficit by providing affordable homes nationwide, reflecting the government’s commitment to transparency and public safety in the procurement process.
