Rabiu Suleiman Bichi, the newly appointed Managing Director and CEO of the Hadejia Jama’are River Basin Development Authority (HJRBDA), has lauded President Bola Tinubu for his large-scale fertilizer distribution to farmers during the dry season.
In a letter of appreciation to the president, Bichi described the initiative as “unprecedented” and a testament to Tinubu’s “unparalleled commitment” to food security and agricultural development.
He noted that the provision of essential farming inputs would greatly support farmers and boost agricultural productivity.
Bichi, an All Progressives Congress (APC), chieftain from Kano State, also outlined his vision for HJRBDA.
He pledged to collaborate with stakeholders to maximize the authority’s potential in water resource management and agricultural innovation.
His focus, he said, would be on enhancing food security and driving economic development in the region.
