President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed optimism about Nigeria’s improving security, particularly in road travel, which had previously been a major concern for citizens.

Speaking during his first presidential media chat in Lagos on Monday, Tinubu noted significant advancements in the country’s security infrastructure, emphasizing that road travel is now safer compared to past years.

“I have confidence in the security architecture of this country. “Today, you can travel on the roads. Before now, it was impossible,” Tinubu said.

While acknowledging setbacks like the recent attack on the Brigade Battalion, Tinubu highlighted the broader success of military efforts to secure the nation.

He urged Nigerians to remain vigilant, cautioning against both internal and external threats to progress.

The president also pointed to specific routes, such as Kaduna to Kafanchan, as examples of improved safety, while admitting that some areas, especially in the North, still require further attention.

Though challenges remain, Tinubu assured the public that steady progress is being made to ensure safer roads and a more secure nation.
