President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, hope, and compassion as the nation celebrates the joyous season of Christmas.
In his heartfelt 2024 Christmas message, the President highlighted the essence of the season as a beacon of love, peace, and the triumph of light over darkness.
Reflecting on recent tragedies in Ibadan, Okija, and Abuja, Tinubu expressed deep sorrow and offered prayers for the victims and their families.
He urged Nigerians to draw inspiration from the teachings of Jesus Christ by showing kindness and uplifting one another.
“A smile or a word of encouragement can uplift even the most burdened hearts,” he remarked, emphasizing that compassion transcends material wealth.
The President lauded the sacrifices of the nation’s troops and called for collective prayers for their safety, as well as the wisdom of the country’s leaders.
Tinubu also reassured citizens of the government’s commitment to making the festive season easier through initiatives such as free train services and subsidized transport across 144 routes.
As he wished Nigerians a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year, Tinubu’s message resonated with a hopeful vision for a united and prosperous Nigeria, inspiring citizens to foster goodwill and perseverance in the face of challenges.
